Our full line of 1U Rackmount Drawers with 8, 16, and 32 port switches include many options and configurations. One of the first things to consider is how many users require access to the target devices at the same time? In addition, does remote access via Cat5 cable or IP access add value and save time for simple remote trouble shooting? Our KVM Switches offer 1 to 4 user consoles with up to two simultaneous IP remote consoles. The basic units are designed with either traditional cables or Cat5 / Cat6 style cables. How many servers or target devices do you have? Are you planning for future expansion? Cascading switches together allows for up to 256 server access through 1 configuration. Integrating everything into a 1U KVM Drawer saves space and provides a clean solution with less cable clutter. All of the KVM Switch sizes and options can be integrated into any of the rackmount monitors. Thats how we end up with over 100 different chassis combinations. Typically the depth is only increased by a couple of inches so the integrated solution will easliy fit in a traditonal server rack. For shorter depth applications, we offer a 2U 17" and 2U 19" dual slide KVM Drawer that is less than 19" deep. The dual slide allows for the ability to leave the monitor in a viewable position while the keyboard drawer is stored inside the rack. In fact, we also have a 1U version Rackmount Monitor of both the 17" and 19" 1280 X 1024 screen size and a high resolution version with both 1920 X 1080 and 1920 X 1200 resolution. Although, the traditional VGA type switches can only support up to 1600 X 1200 resolution. The best option for the high resolution drawers is to combine a DVI KVM Switch. We offer a 12 port and 8 port version that both support the higher resolutions. The 8 Port version includes traditional DVI, USB 2.0, and Audio cables. The 12 port version includes 6, proprietary all in 1 6 foot cables. An additional 6 cables can be ordered seperately.
