RackMountSales - Consider rail depth when selecting a transit case

RackmountSales – When selecting the height (U Space) and depth of a transit case, be sure to research the depth requirement if the application will require 1U LCD Drawers, or 1U KVM rack mount drawers. In most cases, a 20” depth transit case will do the job. However, if options like DC power or additional video inputs are needed, the depth requirement could exceed 20”. In these situations, a 24” deep rack mount transit case will be required. Realizing the ultimate goal is to keep the case as small and light as possible, the depth requirement can sometimes be overlooked. Below is a chart showing the rail depth requirements for 1U LCD rack mount drawers, 1U rack mount monitor with keyboard drawers, as well as 1U stand alone rack mount keyboard drawers –The new designed bracket mounting system is also designed to allow for easy relay rack, 2 post mounting systems.
